When buying a used car with just one previous owner, odds are they really know their car and the history behind it.

Search terms volume five is all about finding one owner cars.
Especially when Craigslist car shopping, we see it all the time... "My brother bought it from the original owner and sold it to his friend who passed it down to me," or maybe "original owner said the swap has 65,000 miles, ignore the 302,000 on the dash."
Sometimes, it gets tiring feeling sketched out and digging through online car records to find out what you want to know about a car you're interested in.
Well, if you're feeling this way then you stumbled onto the right edition of Search Terms. When you type in one owner, if you couldn't figure this one out for yourself, you're presented with a list of one owner cars.
Generally, it is great to find a one owner car because majority of the time, while you're paying the true depreciated value of what it's worth, there's a chance that you're finding a quality car that the owner is fully aware of. Maintenance records and documentation are plentiful, and if you find the right buyer, the condition or sketchiness-factor are less of a worry.
Check out some examples of great one owners finds below:

How about this 2012 Mini Cooper Countryman Edition? She's fully loaded and enthusiastically advertised as a one owner car. She's got all the bells and whistles from a satellite, bluetooth sound system to heated quad bucket seats and smart keys. She has just over 90,000 miles and is advertised with a free Carfax report available before even viewing the car. The owner says she needs nothing, and just had a complete all-around service. He is very willing to share additional photos and service history reports. At just under $9000, this car seems to be a great deal you can trust a fraction of the retail value. How about an Acura? This 2002 RSX offers power everything, a manual transmission and ice cold A/C. The very-clean body has just over 150,000 miles, while the owner claims that a replacement with just 90,000 was recently installed. It has many new parts, and of course has had just one owner throughout its existence. It's important to note that yet again, the owner is very willing to provide documentation to back its clean Carfax report. At a negotiable $2,800, if this seems to be the car for you, check out the ad here.
If you're an anxious buyer, or would just like to be sure you're getting a well documented vehicle with easily verifiable history, give "one owner" a shot next time you're in the market for a new ride.
