If you're looking for heavily modified cars under the hood, this might be the search term to fulfill your speed junkie needs.

In this edition of search terms, we cover the results for searching "turbo."
Generally, what I've noticed from my experience is that you'll find three main results for entering this in.
1.) You'll find cars that come equipped with factory turbos. Usually the owner is not too familiar with how turbos actually work nor how much boost they produce, but they'll be able to confirm it's actually there.
2.) Next, you'll find heavily modified cars. What's good is that when a modified car offers a turbo, it's safe to say a lot of the time that the owner is familiar with the work done to the car. We can also draw the conclusion that the mods were intended to enhance performance rather than just to make others think that's the case, since turbo kits can draw significant pricing.
3.) Finally, you'll find the clueless seller that thinks "turbo" simply means fast. They can't tell you jack about the turbo, or any modifications done to the car for that matter. It is also hard for them to identify if their (presumably naturally-aspirated) vehicle even features a turbo to begin with, since they're probably unaware of how they look.
There are several things I like about this search term, but the best of part of all is that you can score some pretty sweet steals. Sure, it is interesting to see some of the wacky creations that pop up when you look up the word, but there is a hidden goldmine of quick cars for cheap.
Remember, the amount invested into a car does not reflect its value. This stands especially true for turbos, so if you plan to boost a cheap car for fun and to piss off people with expensive fast cars- keep it. You'll see examples of cars with expensive turbo kits going for a fraction of the kits value, thanks to the low value of the car it was slapped onto.
Check out a few examples of some good deals that are results of the search below:

Check out this '98 Integra. The owner describes the car as "TOTAL BEAST... CAR IS NOT A TOY." Potential buyers are provided with a list in the description of all the aftermarket parts- most of which are big-name and essential to a successful high performance build. It was professionally built, has just 10,000 miles on an imported JDM motor, and pushes 300 hp at just 10 psi of boost. It is safe to say this goes a long way for the money, you can win you purchase price back in just a few races against those unaware of what they're going up against.
*Also note the cutout on the right side fog light, indicating the need to air out the big turbo.

Maybe this Turbo MR2 is more your speed. Many people tend to confuse these cars with Ferarris when painted red. The car looks to be in near-mint condition. The owner provides an extensive list of some very expensive mods ranging from custom surveillance systems to a widebody kit and crossdrilled rotors to an oversized intercooler. The list is long, the car looks insanely clean and the owner assures she has a clean title with no accidents nor issues. The best part of all- this is an early-'90's mr2 turbo. These cars are very desirable and quickly rising in value, so this is a steal at this price. If you like how this sounds, you can see the full ad here.
Next time you're daydreaming about speed, try searching turbo to find quick rides that just might fit your budget.
